Group Director - Sustainable Business
Philippa (Pip) Stone is ISG’s group director - sustainable business and is responsible for the development and execution of a broad-based, company-wide sustainable business strategy. Pip is passionate about integrating sustainability throughout the organisation to ensure that our sustainability efforts enhance business performance and support the long-term interests of ISG, and our clients.
Pip joined ISG in 2006, starting out in ISG’s UK fit out business. She has progressed through the company to become ISG’s lead global sustainability expert and advisor. Pip is responsible for ISG’s 2021 Sustainable Business Strategy, with the ultimate aim of decoupling environmental damage from economic growth, while creating social value.
Pip’s goal is to get to the point where sustainable business = business as usual. During her time at ISG, Pip has driven ISG’s approach to resource efficiency, reducing our global greenhouse gas emissions and waste production, and overseen numerous award-winning initiatives including Business in the Community Responsible Business Awards for ISG’s apprenticeship programme, community enhancement projects, and a global charity partnership with CARE International.
Pip has a B. Liberal Studies from the University of Sydney and a Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge. She is a Practitioner Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (PIEMA) and a founder member of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (MICRS).
