Senior Business Development Manager, UK Construction Scotland
Jim Black is the senior business development manager for ISG’s construction business in Scotland. Jim was one of the first to join the team when ISG launched in Scotland in 2010, and has played a key role in successfully establishing the ISG brand in the Scottish market, where it has an industry-leading reputation for high-quality project delivery in the hospitality and leisure, office, student accommodation and technology sectors.
With overall responsibility for business development for ISG in Scotland, Jim excels in finding and helping to win work across key sectors. His ability to form and maintain relationships with clients and consultants, alongside his market knowledge, has been fundamental in developing the now £60m Scottish business, where recent high-profile clients include Trump Turnberry, Diageo and Esson Properties.
Before joining ISG, Jim was a key member of the senior management team for Rok’s Scottish business, where he implemented a sustainable business development strategy including playing an integral role in securing key accounts with IKEA and B&Q.
He has also held roles at Mercedes-Benz, and worked as a consultant providing strategic business development advice to various companies including Rok.
Jim lives in Larbert and is a keen golfer and hill walker. Jim organises an annual golf day for ISG’s clients and consultants, held at Glenbervie Golf Club in Larbert; an event which has proved extremely popular over the years and has also raised thousands of pounds for ISG’s charity partners.
