Managing Director, UK Hospitality
Andy Demetriou is managing director for hospitality in the UK for ISG. He is responsible for the division delivering new build, refurbishments and fit outs for hotels, private members' clubs, luxury retail and shopping centre redevelopments.
Andy has been at ISG for over 21 years. He has a strong delivery pedigree with experience in refurbishment, extensions and new build specifically in the retail, shopping centre, hospitality and leisure sectors. His expertise in delivering complex food retail projects supported ISG to become the No.1 Shopfitter in the UK, according to Retail Week, a position we have held for a number of years. Recognising ISG’s significant specialism for working in live environments, with a dedication to safety and high-quality finishes, Andy was responsible for ISG’s entry into the retail park and shopping centres sector.
The team’s latest deliveries include the Devonshire Club, a private members' club redevelopment project that won the NAS (National Association of Shopfitters) Design Partnership Leisure Award and Interior of the Year Award in 2016.
After graduating with a degree in quantity surveying, Andy worked as a PQS in a national consultancy for nine years, where he developed feasibility and cost management skills which he now puts to good use during early stages of project development. Andy was a main board director with Pearce Group for 12 years before it was acquired by ISG in 2007, giving him a total of 21 years' service with the business.
Andy has represented his local football club for over 25 years and is now both chairman and player-manager on weekends. He has put in over 540 appearances at league level.
