Project update - March 2019

Project update

We have come a long way with the Sedbergh Leisure Centre project. Firstly, both the learner pool and the main swimming pool have been constructed and are currently undergoing tests; once passed, development on both pools will continue with render and tile, which will be starting in the upcoming months.

Works on the car park continue, progressing with road kerbs currently being laid, ready for the car park to be paved during the spring season.

The brick and blockwork is nearing completion now; the leisure centre has the majority of the rooms built up, which means going forward, the render will progress and commencement of tiling and joinery works.

Milestones achieved

  • The roof over the entire building has been completed
  • The concrete slabs have been completed on both the ground floor and first floor
  • Pool tank construction complete

Coming up

In the upcoming months the build will entail:

  • Drainage on the outdoor sports pitches
  • Painting and tiling to the blockwork
  • Under floor heating and floor screed
  • Full-height curtain wall glazing to front elevation
  • Installation of lockers and changing cubicles
  • Finish all electrical and mechanical service installations
  • Sports pitch drainage and seeding

Many thanks,
