We were awarded the new London head office for the social housing provider Circle Housing, located in King’s Cross. The new flagship headquarters would not only act to amalgamate their existing London locations, but also set the high standards of design to be implemented across other UK offices.
The project involved fitting out the second floor of a new building, Two Pancras Square, in line with Circle Housing’s ‘agile’ working policy, which embraces flexibility with no set desks or desktops for colleagues. Bespoke zones included ‘the Garden’ (a homely green zone and break out space outside the main meeting area), ‘the Home’ (an apartment-like kitchen area with breakfast bar), and ‘the Library’ (a snug reading room with glazed screens and comfortable seating). The specialist meeting rooms were designed to be flexible and allow the creation of three separate enclosed spaces following the installation of Skyfold vertical folding walls. Intricate joinery was required for the meeting booths, reception area (including a bespoke herringbone oak design), credenzas for audio visual units and large units to house TVs. A 4.2 metre projector screen was also installed.
“Working with ISG has been a pleasure. They were committed to the project from beginning to end. The project has had its challenges and yet each was addressed in a positive and detailed way, ensuring the client and design team’s aspirations were met. I look forward to working with ISG in the near future.”
