Overview

ISG marked the tenth year of a successful relationship with Imperial College London by securing the Wood Lane Studios project, which is a joint development between the College and its development partner Voreda. Wood Lane Studios provides high-quality postgraduate studio accommodation and key worker apartments to help to meet the growing demand

The project

ISG created high quality studio accommodation for 606 postgraduate students across four separate, concrete frame blocks linked at ground level, as well as three residential, three-storey timber frame structures. The studios each have a private bathroom and kitchenette, plus spacious social and study areas.

The new postgraduate accommodation building has been designed not only to provide a high standard of service installations for the occupants, but also to have a low environmental impact. The student rooms achieved BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and the residential blocks are Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4.
