ISG has secured a contract to renovate 9 Charlotte Square, Edinburgh, the new home of SCOBAN Plc, the planned private bank.

Projects completed by ISG in the South East have been officially recognised with a series of prestigious awards, including four accolades for the contractor’s £25.6 million New Marlowe Theatre scheme in Canterbury and a fifth for its London Gateway deep sea container port project.
ISG, the international construction services group, is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of 90% of the share capital of Tecton Engineering GmbH (“Tecton”) for a maximum consideration of €2.6m (£2.2m).
ISG is due to imminently commence work on the £27 million project to re-clad the 13-storey East Wing building on the St Thomas’ Hospital site in central London. The project was procured via a high-profile RIBA Competition to select an architect and main contractor team that could transform the poorly performing building with a modern cladding solution to enhance its environmental performance, upgrade facilities for patients and staff, and dramatically improve the building’s aesthetics on the London skyline.
Members of ISG’s site team were treated to a tea break by internationally renowned artist Nikhil Chopra as part of the 2013 Manchester International Festival. ISG is part way through a £12 million project to extend and refurbish the University of Manchester’s Whitworth Art Gallery, however from sunrise on the Friday 5th July, through to sunset on Sunday 7th July, part of the site was transformed into a working artist’s studio.
ISG has successfully completed an exclusive luxury home conversion with new build subterranean leisure complex following a £9.5 million project in conjunction with the developers Capital Residential Management Ltd.
ISG has taken its second project at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, securing a £1.2 million scheme at the University of Dundee’s prestigious School of Medicine, adding to its on-going £4.1 million extension and refurbishment contract at the hospital.
ISG has been awarded a £3.6 million scheme to convert a former office building at 6-7 Buckingham Street in Westminster into seven luxury apartments. The project further strengthens ISG’s relationship with specialist luxury residential developer Amazon Property, for whom the contractor is currently delivering schemes at Paramount House in Soho and Craven Hill Gardens in Bayswater.
ISG has been named Contractor of the Year for the fourth time at this year’s Global RLI awards. The long-established awards recognise excellence in the retail and leisure industry world-wide and attract entries from organisations across the globe.
