ISG has been awarded a £2.2 million project, via the North West Construction Hub (NWCH) framework, to deliver a regional centre of excellence for academic and employability related education at Knutsford Academy in Cheshire. The Studio will accommodate up to 300, 14-19 year olds providing academic learning alongside a vocational curriculum, with close links to local employers and major regional commercial organisations.
ISG will present the Audience Prize at this year’s Best Office Awards in Moscow. The Best Office Awards have been described as the “Oscars” of Russia’s commercial real estate industry and this year more than 100 projects have been nominated in 12 categories.
ISG has further strengthened its Fit Out business with the appointment of James Weekes as divisional director for its Projects team. The highly experienced industry professional heads up one of ISG’s fastest growing business divisions, with a core focus on projects up to a value of circa £1.5 million.
ISG has secured a circa £30 million project with global investment firm Blackstone to remodel and refurbish floors one to six of the iconic Art Deco Adelphi Building, which overlooks the Victoria Embankment in London.
ISG and Stride Treglown’s highly flexible FORM model school has secured major backing from the Vale of Glamorgan County Council, which has selected the design concept for its new £2.7 million Nant Talwg School in Barry. The project has key significance within Wales as it represents the first practical application of a model school template in the country.
ISG has been awarded a £9.1 million project by Amsprop Investments, Lord Alan Sugar’s property development company, to transform an existing nine-storey office building overlooking St Paul’s Cathedral into high specification, contemporary office and retail space.
Following projects for Canada and Australia, the Malaysia office has further enhanced its reputation in the diplomatic sector having recently completed the interior fit out for the British High Commission located in Menara Binjai, Kuala Lumpur.
ISG has been awarded a £13.5 million project to construct new offices in Chelmsford for international insurer Amlin plc. The project will enable Amlin to consolidate a number of existing office locations in Chelmsford within a single, purpose-built centre.
ISG has been appointed to the North East Procurement Organisation (NEPO) Construction Framework, which has a predicted value of between £90 million and £1 billion. The company has secured a coveted place across each of the framework’s four categories.
Over the past two months, ISG’s regional construction business has signed up projects with a combined value circa £100m.
