ISG’s £2.5m refurbishment work at a leisure centre in Northallerton, UK, is progressing at a pace, according to Hambleton District Council Portfolio holder, Councillor Bridget Fortune.

Bridget was quoted in a press release published on the Hambleton District Council website on 10 October 2017 following a site tour with ISG’s site manager, Ashley Hargreaves (pictured).

“Work is going forward at a pace now,” she said.

“We can see the new building taking shape which is very exciting.

“Once completed it will mean we can offer an improved programme of activities to help promote the health and well-being of people of all ages and levels of fitness.”

ISG’s UK Construction North and Scotland managing director, Andy McLinden, said the project is a great scheme for the area and means a lot to ISG.

“Delivering new and improved community facilities always proves a great motivation for our project teams, because it’s all about leaving a positive legacy for future generations,” he said.

“This is a great scheme for Northallerton and we are confident that, once completed, the new leisure centre will prove a real focal point for the local community.”

ISG was awarded the £2.5m contract to deliver the refurbishment and extension of Hambleton Leisure Centre by Alliance Leisure earlier this year.
