Telling the truth about BIM at the Construction Frameworks Conference

ISG members from across its construction, fit out and technology solutions teams recently came together to attend and present at the Construction Frameworks Conference, a leading event for the UK public sector in London.

The Construction Frameworks Conference, which took place at the Royal Agricultural Halls in London, was organised by Built Environment Networking, in association with Scape Procure, and welcomed over 300 public sector professionals to discuss and showcase best practice in the UK construction frameworks marketplace.

Paul Cook, technology lead for ISG’s Technology Solutions business, led an intriguingly titled session; 'The truth about BIM best practice? It's not about BIM', where he discussed creating a single unified communication platform to help achieve the client's vision, complementing framework procurement via early contractor engagement.

Group director for public sector frameworks, Zoe Price, and representatives from ISG’s framework management team attended the event, gaining further sector insight and supporting the ISG stand.

The stand was inundated with visitors during the conference breaks and after Paul's session, when Paul and senior BIM manager, Jack Dearlove, provided further insights to delegates on the challenge of technology adoption, and how ISG can offer support and advice.

Zoe Price said: "This was a great profile-raising opportunity for ISG, with a target audience who were really engaged with the agenda.

“A number of our current and target framework clients were also in attendance, so it was a great place to catch up, and also to position ourselves as industry-leading in our approach to technology."
