Congratulations to #TeamISG in the UK, who successfully completed the epic Three Peaks Challenge, raising awareness and money for blood cancer charity DKMS, and its UK charity partner, Macmillan Cancer Support.
Teaming up with clients, consultants and industry partners across projects, ISG’s UK Fit Out business joined a 27-strong team to climb the three highest peaks of Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon) – all within 24 hours.
The team started the gruelling challenge at 8am on Friday 20 July, with the ascent of Ben Nevis, followed by Scafell Pike and finishing with Snowdon, by 8am on Saturday 21 July.
The team walked a total distance of 23 miles, with an ascent of 10,052 ft, and a total driving distance between the mountains of 462 miles – a huge effort by all.
James McMillan, construction manager for ISG’s UK fit out business, said: “Thanks so much to everyone who made this adventure so special. Thanks to Sean for guiding us on the route, and special commendations to Dan Rowe and Lauren Munro for organising everything.”
“What an amazing experience, we all deserve a huge pat on the back, that was one for the autobiography and a lifetime achievement for us all.”
While completing the Three Peaks Challenge is an impressive feat in itself, the team also set themselves a mighty target of raising £28,000 for Macmillan via donations to its dedicated JustGiving page.
So far, the team have raised over £25,800 – a fantastic effort – but they still need generous donations to reach the target.
