#TeamISG breaks a sweat for Macmillan

#TeamISG has taken part in, and completed, the Thames Path Mighty Hike and Regents Park 10k events, raising money for our UK charity partner, Macmillan Cancer Support.

On Saturday 9 June, members of ISG’s sustainability and HR teams walked a 26-mile marathon distance along London’s Thames Path, trekking from Windsor to Henley.

The next day, members of its HR, marketing and communications, and UK Hospitality teams ran a 10k race in London’s beautiful Regents Park.

On the Thames Path Mighty Hike, Gemma McKenzie, senior sustainability manager, commented: “It was an amazing day – tougher than we expected but really good fun, with thousands of other people also supporting Macmillan.

“It was great for team bonding and, despite injury and a few sore feet/legs, we’re already looking at which challenge we could do next year.”

The Thames Path team has raised a fantastic £4,350 so far, and is hoping to break the £4,500 mark.

The HR and marketing and communications team has raised £1,112 so far for the Regents Park 10k, with UK Hospitality also raising £560.

Nicki Gibson, Macmillan’s corporate partnership manager, was full of praise for the team’s efforts: “Your donations and sore feet go towards making a huge difference to the lives of people living with cancer.”
