The past six months has seen a shift-change in client understanding of Level 2 BIM, says ISG’s Head of BIM, Mark Norton.
Mark believes clients are becoming more knowledgeable about the digital modelling platform, which was made the subject of a UK government mandate on all centrally procured public sector projects on 6 April 2016.
Mark was speaking as part in an industry roundtable featuring representatives from across the construction industry and hosted by Construction Manager, the magazine of the Chartered Institute of Building.
The roundtable took place on 6 November 2016, six months after the implementation of Level 2 BIM. Key topics discussed at the event included the need to provide clear advice to clients, current contractual barriers and the role of technology in the construction industry.
