ISG commercial property manager, Sophia Nesro, has won the Facilities, Property and Construction award at the WeAreTheCity top 100 Rising Star Awards 2018.
The Rising Star Awards, which were sponsored by The Times and The Sunday Times, celebrate the UK pipeline of female talent, and were introduced to create female role models across various industries and professions.
The award recognises Sophia’s passion for the industry, and the work she does in encouraging young professionals to help craft its future.
Sophia, who was among five winners in the Facilities, Property and Construction award category, sits on the advisory board of the British Property Federation (BPF) Futures Group, the UK trade association for residential and commercial real estate companies.
The role involves assisting the board with engaging young professionals from the property and construction sectors, and pursuing the Futures Group ambition of shaping the industry’s youth voice.
The Futures Group advisory board has been shortlisted for the Future of Real Estate award at the Estate Gazette’s Awards 2018, which will be announced in September.
There were 1,250 entries for the Rising Star Awards, which were judged by a panel of 54 independent judges.
Watch Sophia discuss what makes a great place, and the industry’s role in building the places of tomorrow, in the BPF’s recently launched ‘Building Social Resilience’ video.
