ISG’s Engineering Services business has bagged two prestigious healthcare industry awards at the Building Better Healthcare and Healthcare Estates IHEEM Awards events respectively, to round off an exciting month for the team.
Up against stiff competition, ISG won the award for the ‘Best Internal Environment – Refurbishment’ for its repeat client Healthcare Services Laboratories (HSL) at the 2018 Building Better Healthcare Awards.
ISG was recognised for its work on One Mabledon Place – also known as the Halo Building – having received commendations from judges on the outstanding use of internal space within a new-build project, which enhanced the overall experience for patients, staff and visitors.
The event, which was held on Wednesday 31 October at the Brewery in London, celebrates and recognises innovative transformation in patient care, and was attended by over 600 NHS delegates, including directors of estates and facilities, capital investment managers, architects and construction specialists representing the ‘who’s who’ in the healthcare industry.
One Mabledon Place was also recognised at the Annual Healthcare Estates IHEEM Awards Dinner on 9 October, picking up an impressive third award for the project in the ‘Refurbishment Project of the Year’ category.
The award recognises the project team that has demonstrated healthcare engineering and estate management excellence in the delivery of a refurbishment project over the past 12 months.
The event took place on Tuesday 9 October at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel.
ISG divisional director of tech, science and health, Paul Sharp, acknowledged the win: “It’s great to see this once-in-a- lifetime project finally get the recognition it richly deserves,” he said.
“With three awards under the belt, a finalist in the Construction News Award ‘Project of the Year’ category and with awards still to come, the team should be proud to have been recognised with such highly-regarded accolades.
“Well done to David Broderick and his team who all worked tirelessly on this hugely challenging scheme – their hard work has definitely paid off.”
The ISG Engineering Services team is currently on site delivering the second project for HSL at 60 Whitfield Street.
