ISG has topped out at The O2 in London, where it is completing the circle at the world's most successful music and entertainment venue.
The development, which is known as Project Mint, will provide over 80 new designer retail outlets with a combined area of circa 400,000 sq ft.
The works will complete the circuit of The O2, creating a 360° visitor experience.
The new retail destination will boost existing attractions and entice customers from the ever-expanding, close-by Greenwich Peninsula development.
ISG project director, Fraser Tanner, opened the ceremony by thanking the project team for all its hard work and dedication on the project.
"It is great to reach this topping-out milestone at Project Mint; such a prestigious project for ISG,” he said.
“And thank you to Alistair Wood, executive vice president at AEG, real estate and development, and Matt Mason, development director at Crosstree, for joining us today."
Councillor Denise Hyland, leader of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, was invited to cut the ribbon at the start of the new staircase, which rises to the project’s highest point.
Denise said: "It is amazing the progress that has been made, and how grateful the Royal Borough of Greenwich is with how many opportunities the development will provide.
“We're excited to see the completed project and the future for the area."
The ceremony celebrated the completion of the main feature stair, which is the gateway to the project and completes the venue circle to allow access around the arena.
The project is now entering its final stages, with the staged completion of the retail units and the progression of the public realm works.
Marble paving works have commenced, along with the ground-floor paving, and all escalators are now in position.
Project Mint is due for completion in autumn 2018.
