ISG has held a topping out ceremony to mark the completion of major structural work at a £15m project at Academy House on London’s Oxford Street.
The event took place on 3 August 2017 with the honour of laying the last section of concrete given to Sports Direct Property development manager, Thomas Lewis.
ISG’s project manager, Michael Goate, said he was delighted with the progress of the project.
“It is a great achievement for us all to be standing on top of Academy House today,” he said.
“The team has worked incredibly hard to get the project to this significant milestone.
“I’d like to congratulate everyone in the team on the work they have done to get us to this point.”
Michael presented Thomas with an engraved silver trowel to commemorate the occasion.
Academy House forms part of a significant development plan by landowners at the eastern end of Oxford Street that will help to regenerate the retail location.
The structural remodelling saw the team extend the building by one extra floor, with attention now turning to completing the office floors and retail units.
The building is due for completion in early 2018.
