ISG held a topping out ceremony to mark the completion of major structural work at a redevelopment project on Lombard Street in the City of London.
The honour of laying the final section of concrete was given to McKay Securities CEO, Simon Perkins, on 11 October 2017.
Simon said he was delighted the team had reached this point, reflecting on the challenging characteristics of the site.
“I’d like to congratulate everyone involved in this project,” he said.
“We’ve had this property for 16 years and I’m very pleased to see us reaching the summit and the new building taking shape.
“The team has given a lot of time and effort to produce this building in one of London’s most central locations and it’s great to be here today to celebrate the work.”
ISG’s operations director, Paul McBurney, said he was delighted to see the teams hard work celebrated.
“It is a pleasure for us all to be standing on top of Lombard Street today,” he said.
“I’d like to thank the team and especially the ISG team for all their efforts and support on this challenging project.”
The project at Lombard Street comprises the complete demolition of the existing structure, down to the lowest basement level and the construction of a new office building.
The facade will be a mixture of glazed curtain walling and stone cladding, with terraces on the seventh and ninth floors.
