ISG re-appointed to North West Construction Hub medium value framework for third consecutive time

1 September 2019

ISG has for the third consecutive time been re-appointed to the North West Construction Hub (NWCH) medium value framework, winning places on every one of the geographical lots it bid for – lots 2 to 6.

ISG is now eligible to bid for capital work projects valued between £2-10 million across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire and Cumbria. Earlier this year, ISG was also successful in securing a coveted place on the NWCH’s High Value Framework across the two lots bid for, encompassing projects valued from £8-15 million and £15-35 million.

The NWCH is one of the UK’s highest performing public sector capital procurement frameworks, and ISG has been a key component of its success from the Hub’s inception in 2010. Over the past nine years ISG has delivered in excess of £250 million of high-profile and multi-award-winning community projects across the North West as a trusted and collaborative delivery partner.

ISG framework director, Neil Walker, commented: “The NWCH is a true beacon of public sector procurement best practice, and it is testament to the enlightened approach of over 100 individual clients
and the collaborative endeavours of all framework contractors that we continue to be held up as a model for delivery excellence.

“This is vital work that transforms lives and the outlook of entire communities, delivering the very infrastructure that helps people to thrive. By fostering a spirit of collaboration and actively promoting the sharing of knowledge and project learnings, the hub has benefited every framework contractor, and in turn enabled us all to deliver projects more efficiently and with a core focus on maximising social value outcomes.”

The NWCH has consistently sought to innovate to deliver the facilities demanded by a growing population within the North West region. ISG’s award-wining work to deliver eight schools under Manchester City Council’s Education Basic Needs programme in just a nine-month period in 2018 using modern methods of construction has cemented the Hub’s reputation for innovation.

Since its establishment, the NWCH has delivered in the region of 370 projects totalling a construction value of more than £1.8 billion.
