ISG is delighted to announce that it is now partnering with The Prince's Trust in the UK.
ISG is always looking for innovative and impactful ways to bring its four core values to life and to achieve its corporate goals, and the partnership with The Prince’s Trust supports ISG’s corporate goal of offering an unbeatable employment experience, while embracing its values to always care and never stop learning.
Who is The Princes Trust?
The Prince's Trust is a UK-based charity, that believes that every young person should have the chance to embrace exciting opportunities.
It helps 11 to 30-year-olds, who are unemployed or struggling at school to transform their lives.
Many of the young people the Trust helps are in, or leaving, care, facing homelessness or mental health issues, or have been in trouble with the law.
Tailored programmes are designed to support young people, which could include support with starting a business, navigating avenues into employment for the first time, or re-engaging young people in schools who are at risk of exclusion.
Feedback from the 2017 #TeamISG employee engagement survey told us that you'd like to see ISG doing more to give back in the communities where we work, and our partnership will help us do just that.
Instead of fundraising for the charity, the partnership will be focused on skill-based volunteering and sharing ISG people's knowledge and expertise.
It will focus primarily on employability and science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) skills, which are vital to the future success of young people and are more in demand than ever before.
ISG will support the STEM Get Started programmes, inspiring young people and teaching them essential employability and soft skills, so they may easily reach their own successful outcome.
On the partnership, group HR director, Jane Falconer, commented: "I am incredibly proud that we're working with The Prince's Trust.
“The Prince's Trust is focused on creating brighter futures for young people, empowering them to get into jobs, education and training, which closely aligns with ISG's values and corporate goals.
“Our partnership will also positively influence our tenders, work winning, and social value impact".
ISG CEO, Paul Cossell, also sits on The Prince's Trust Built Environment Leadership Group board – an industry-led initiative formed in 2006 by leading construction firms and industry leaders to address the skills shortage and ageing workforce in construction.
Jane continues: "Partnering with The Prince's Trust is a fantastic opportunity for ISG to engage young people and encourage them to choose a career in construction.
It's important to note that ISG’s partnership with The Prince's Trust does not replace its current two-year, fundraising partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, to which ISG is committed and continuing to raise funds to support their vital services.
