We have been named as the number one central London corporate office interior fit out contractor for the fifth consecutive year. A report confirms that ISG’s dominant share of the Cat B office fit outs in the capital since 2012 is 33 per cent amongst the top 10 firms – totalling over 5 million sq ft of space.
The report produced by independent office and ‘mover’ research company Metropolis Property Research, ranks firms involved in ‘Cat B’ projects for corporate occupiers taking new space and covers the period 2012 to 2016.
ISG’s tally includes major schemes for global financial services firms, including the recently completed 700,000 sq ft fit out at 5 Broadgate – one of the largest office projects in central London over the past five years. Other notable projects include the award-winning fit out of international law firm CMS’ 160,000 sq ft headquarters at Cannon Place and a 100,000 sq ft scheme for Saatchi & Saatchi in Midtown.
Matt Blowers, managing director of ISG’s UK Fit Out, UK Construction South and UK Hospitality businesses, said: “Whilst it’s pleasing to retain our title as London’s leading office fit out contractor for a fifth consecutive year, what’s most important is that we continue to deliver an outstanding service to our customers.
“The pace of change in the office sector has been significant over the past five years – influenced by both global and domestic factors and the changing way that we work. Combine this with rapid technological advancements, new products and construction techniques and the smart office contractor of today needs to constantly demonstrate how they can deliver more for less.
“Our approach is based on the convergence of technology and our people. By employing the brightest, most creative and passionate people, we provide our customers with the experience and expertise to successfully deliver inspirational office projects regardless of size. Technology is both an enabler and a key differentiator as we deploy leading edge solutions to drive efficiencies in the programme that directly benefit our customers.”
In the five-year period covered by the research (2012-2016), a total of 57.3 million square feet of new office space has been let in central London. The report looked at deals of 25,000 square feet, which amounts to 30.3 million square feet of ‘Cat B' projects for corporate occupiers taking new space fitted out in a total of 433 projects.
