ISG has been named Contractor of the Year for the fourth time at this year’s Global RLI awards. The long-established awards recognise excellence in the retail and leisure industry world-wide and attract entries from organisations across the globe.
The 10-strong judging panel is comprised of industry experts from the USA, Europe and Asia and this year included Theo Pathitis of Dragons Den fame, Michael Green, CEO of the British Council for Shopping Centres and Peter Sharp, President of Walmart Asia.
The RLI describes the award for Contractor of the Year as honouring innovative and trail-blazing companies and acknowledges the importance of the contractor’s role in the successful completion of any retail and leisure development. The two-part entry process allowed the judges to examine aspects such as growth, innovation in delivery, client relationships and retention as well as our commitment to health & safety and sustainability.
The award was presented at the annual Global RLI Awards gala held at the Natural History Museum that was attended by around 500 guests.
In accepting the award on behalf of ISG, John Mawhinney, International Retail Director said, “Our focus is on building retail and leisure environments that both reflect and enhance the brands of our customers and to this end we have had a very successful year delivering projects for a host of existing and new high-profile customers. This award goes to our entire team who work tirelessly in locations across the world and who in the last year have delivered almost 800 individual projects.”
