ISG in Hong Kong has been awarded the Caring Company Award by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), in recognition of its commitment to caring for our people, local communities and the environment.
Tim Threlkeld, managing director of ISG in Hong Kong, referenced ISG’s pride in being recognised for its contribution during 2017-2018, particularly in line with the ‘always care’ value at the heart of the business.
“We are proud and honoured to be recognised as a Caring Company, and to be part of the many well-established Hong Kong companies that are truly contributing and making a difference to the local community,” he said.
“From organising our own in-house charity events, volunteering at local events for charitable causes, implementing sustainability measures when delivering our construction projects and providing our employees with outstanding work experience – we are always involved and actively seeking opportunities to be caring ambassadors.
“We will continue to contribute and take an active role to be a responsible member of the community we serve.”
During 2017, ISG partnered with local charity organisers to host events, including the Eastern District Carnival Free Market and Repair Café, to raise money for various worthy causes.
ISG also provides the industry-leading ‘more for you’ benefits scheme as part of a comprehensive rewards package, which is designed with the health and well-being of its team in mind.
The company’s ongoing sustainability efforts include a drive to recycle waste, go paperless across project sites and workplaces, and a best practice approach to projects in accordance with environmental management standards.
ISG is also a proud supporter of the WWF-Hong Kong’s ‘no shark fin’ policy, which seeks to protect the species in the region.
