ISG has completed a project for General Electric (GE) in Paris, France.
We delivered a new collaborative space where coders, data scientists and app developers can incubate new start-ups, known as the ‘Digital Foundry’.
It is GE’s first Digital Foundry in Europe following the success of similar spaces in Shanghai, China, and San Ramon, US.
Situated on Rude du 4 Septembre near the National Opera House, the 3,500 sq m (37,674 sq ft) design and build project took five months to complete.
ISG worked closely with Studio Architecture to devise a concept for the space.
Facilities such as a control room and server room have been incorporated into the space, whilst staff will benefit from four kitchens, design pods with touch screens and soundproofed meeting rooms with VC capabilities.
ISG’s managing director in France, Neil Coales, said: “General Electric is a forward-thinking company who were ambitious with this project to stay ahead of the curve.
“Collaborative spaces like these are always interesting projects to work on, but creating a highly intelligent tech-enabled space to encourage and support start-ups provided our team with a unique challenge.
“The space we have created not only helps the successful businesses of today, but also supports the businesses of tomorrow.”
