In the spirit of its ‘always care’ core value, ISG in Singapore joined together with not-for-profit organisation, Singapore Kindness Movement, to celebrate Kindness Day SG with a carnival.
Kindness Day SG, which was held on 19 May at OCBC Square, Singapore, was first held in 2013 as a way for Singaporeans to come together and show appreciation for one another, through gifting the iconic symbol of kindness – the yellow gerbera.
This year’s event was a huge success, with the ISG team getting involved and splitting up to run two activity booths.
Activities included a giant game of Twister, with circles containing acts of kindness, as well as an origami booth where event guests were taught how to fold paper gerberas and assemble daisy windmills.
The ISG team also took part in a ‘cycle for kindness’, which required guests to cycle for a minute to power a lightbulb, lighting 60 out of the 1,620 bulbs available.
