ISG in Malaysia recently supported charity organisation, Make-A-Wish Malaysia, in creating life-changing experiences for children with critical illnesses.
Make-A-Wish Malaysia organises inspiring, enjoyable and life-changing experiences for the children and their families, allowing them to put aside their daily challenges, and spend time together doing something they love.
In 2017, the ISG team in Malaysia hosted a charity auction which raised RM60,000 for the Make-A-Wish foundation.
So far the funds raised have been used to grant the wishes of six children, with more available to give more children an experience of a lifetime in the future.
Four of the children visited the Legoland theme park, one child visited the museums of Singapore and was treated to a safari, while another received toys of his favourite superheroes.
Chief executive officer of Make-A-Wish Malaysia, Irene Tan, commented: “We extend our heartfelt appreciation to ISG for their generosity in helping us grant these wishes.
“The memories created during their ‘wish days’ and trips bring personal joy and a sense of achievement to each child, and the impacts are long lasting.”
Steve Ramsden, ISG managing director for Southeast Asia and the Middle East, said: “It is truly humbling to see how the children have benefitted from the donation.
“We are incredibly proud that ISG is associated with such an important foundation, and are delighted to have made a difference in their lives alongside Make-A-Wish Malaysia.”
The children supported by Make-A-Wish Malaysia go through various life-threatening medical conditions, and their treatment often means that their hopes and dreams are left to take a back seat.
