At ISG, we know the world is changing constantly. Since launching our Smart Series events, we’ve debated topics from creating offices of the future to debating what the office environment and looking at diversity around the work place

Our next session will provide an opportunity to debate the procurement of construction services the smart way, as we explore what's important for project consultants when choosing a procurement route: key considerations when choosing a procurement route for clients; and the impact of procurement decisions on the tender process and project delivery.

We are delighted to be joined by speakers from, consultants, Alinea Consulting, Gardiner & Theobald and property developer, Clivedale as they pitch their procurement know-how and we debate the best procurement routes in our industry and the secrets to success.

Alastair Kenyon - Alinea

Alastair Kenyon

Having worked within the construction industry for almost 30 years, with over 20 years in the London commercial property market, Alastair has a wealth of experience to draw upon, leading and managing projects from fast track fit out, to large scale urban regeneration schemes. He is a natural leader and has great relationships with his teams, clients, design teams and the wider supply chain. Alastair has undertaken various roles but his strengths lies in the cost management of complex and politically sensitive commercial property projects. Alastair’s expertise helps our clients achieve their goals, by understanding and identifying what their needs are and where value can be added. He is passionate about providing service excellence and has a thorough understanding of market knowledge and insight. Alastair was delighted to join alinea as a Partner and is responsible for our people agenda and business development planning.


Ed Blake - Clivedale

Ed Blake

Ed Blake joined Clivedale London in 2016 after spending over 10 years in professional practice as a Chartered Surveyor. During that time he worked on some of the most high-profile projects in London including secondments with Argent LLP at Kings Cross, Qatari Diar / Seller Developments at London Bridge Quarter and latterly working closely with Brockton Capital. He holds his MSc from the The Bartlett School, University College London and retains a connection New London Architecture and The Building Centre.

John Meredith - G&T

John Meredith

John specialises in the project management of large-scale, high value and complex projects. John has a wide range of sector experience, both in the UK and overseas. He is currently focusing on high specification residential and hotel led mixed use projects in London. John recently led the G&T team which delivered the new Four Seasons hotel at 10 Trinity Square and is currently leading the G&T team delivering the 1,000,000 sq ft re-development of Whiteleys shopping centre in Bayswater. Before joining G&T in 2006, John served as an Army Officer for seven years in the Royal Gurkha Rifles. Outside work, John is heavily involved in youth rugby and football with his two sons.

Jamie McGahan - ISG

Jamie McGahan

Jamie has 15 years’ experience of working for main contractors on a variety of project types including retail, commercial, education, hospitality, living and leisure projects across public and private sectors. Jamie’s strength is focused on developing collaborative working relationships to allow the status quo to be challenged and the best possible outcome to be achieved. Jamie has been part of the ISG team for seven years and is the divisional commercial director for ISG’s UK Construction South business focusing on hospitality, living and public sector framework projects. Jamie is an avid sports enthusiast, with particular loyalty to football and rugby.
