Since our last Bulletin was issued you we have continued to make excellent progress with the works on site.
You will have seen the scaffold around the newly constructed Art Building coming down to unveil the magnificent Limestone clad Art Building in all its glory. I hope you agree that with the stonework, full height windows and Bronze fins now on show that the landscape on the corner of Grove End Road and Waverley place is a great addition. The internal spaces within the Art Building have also been completed and the American School are now busily fitting the space out in preparation for their students to start using the space from January next year.
Externally, the hard and soft landscaping works are progressing well with the playground, walkways, raised play areas and planting areas all taking shape.
Within the pool and Fitness areas the structural works have been completed and the installation of the finishes is well underway with screeding, underfloor heating, drylining and plant installation progressing well. The swimming pool has been filled with water and the structure tested for leaks which have proved to be very successful.
The works to the south facade extension to the existing school has also progressed well in the last period with the steelwork, glazing and Portland Stone cladding all taking shape.
