Guests toast ISG Pearce success at Midsummer Breakfast
More than 100 construction and design professionals gathered at The Marriott Royal in Bristol on Wednesday morning (30 June) for a Midsummer Breakfast hosted by construction services company ISG Pearce.

The Bristol-based company used the event to update the gathering of customers, consultants, architects and other major industry players on its plans and expectations for the year ahead whilst raising £2000 for local charity Children's Hospice South West.

Speaking at the breakfast, Chief Executive Colin Forrest announced: “Despite a difficult economic period for the construction industry we are on course to increase our turnover in 2009/2010 by £20 million. In addition we are celebrating winning an exciting variety of regional and national construction contracts, recent examples being the £8.9 million redevelopment of Bristol’s Cossham Hospital, a £5 million new therapies centre, facilities and accommodation for National Star College near Cheltenham and the refurbishment of Kingswood Leisure Centre.

“Hot on the heels of restructuring, which sees clearly defined specialist teams working closely with regional and national customers, we are also now preparing for the opening of our new regional office in Cardiff this summer, which will operate alongside our regional office in Exeter and our Bristol headquarters.”

Rob Benson, Regional Director for ISG Pearce Western Regional Construction, added: “We are determined to have an even stronger presence in the South West and South Wales with which to support our customers.

“We are confident that through working closely with our customers and providing the personal touch on every project and with the high calibre of our team who work very hard to deliver every project to the highest of standards we will become the first choice construction services company for an even greater number of clients.”

The audience also heard from Kate Buddery of Children's Hospice South West on the charity's plans and ambitions, with guests invited to put their business cards into a prize draw for a Bristol Blue Ships Decanter and make a donation to the charity. The appeal raised £928 with an additional donation of £1100 being made by ISG Pearce.   The Ships Decanter was won by John Williams of Jubb Consulting.
