Steve Trotter - Director

As Managing Director of ISG InteriorExterior since 2004 Steve has been instrumental in guiding the company’s direction and successful national expansion. Steve was appointed as a director of ISG plc in 2005.

Steve joined the company in 1997 and is credited with establishing its New Build and Exterior International divisions. His early accomplishments with ISG InteriorExterior include securing the £100m Foster-designed Albion Riverside development and then steering the project to its award-winning completion.

Steve’s experience in the construction services industry is extensive. In the early 1980's he pioneered the use of construction management in China and Hong Kong including managing the delivery of the first international hotel to be built in China. Steve joined Schal in Atlanta, USA in 1985 and in 1986 was transferred to Schal International Ltd in London, delivering some of the UK’s first construction management projects including Stockley Park and Heathrow.

Steve was appointed Operations Director Schal, Europe and Far East in 1996 where he was responsible for over £300m of projects, including the pan European communication network roll out programme for BT and multiple projects in Asia. He also led the team that won the Royal Opera House restoration project and delivered the initial phase.

As Managing Director, Steve is responsible for both the day-to-day running of ISG InteriorExterior and developing business plans and company culture for the long term future of the organisation. He is accountable to the board and the shareholders of the company whilst leading and mentoring members of the senior management team.
